Profile

Called to the Bar in 1987, Tim is predominantly known as an expert in “big money” family finance cases, whether married or unmarried, alive or dead (including claims under the Inheritance Act). Especially interested in Anglo-German cases and those with a foreign or international element. Fluent in German (including legal German).

Member of the Family Law Bar Association and Fellow of the International Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. Standing Counsel to the Queen’s Proctor (a government appointment to advise on all matters of family law with a public interest element, including the validity of foreign marriages and divorces). Family Law Junior Barrister of the Year 2005.

Tim is one of the first Barristers to be a qualified collaborative lawyer. In the context of CLCF he acts as single joint expert for referral by collaborative solicitors in case of difficulty or doubt as to the answer which would in other cases be provided by a court-based solution.
